Smell is sweet malt, grains, and a barely there hop presense. Taste is soild, fresh and light of sweet malt. Nicely balanced and great character in its bitterness. Everything lends itself to a smooth easy drinkin pilsner with one super solid texture. Full body thats somewhat rough in its feel, lumped into each swallow. This is one of the better pilsners I've had in quite some time, just needed to be a bit more smoother, it has great balanced taste but is a little to roughly textured for full enjoyment, but is still pretty good. jstraw (769), Chicago, Illinois, USA

I really enjoy this beer. Had this along with Victory Prima Pils and it was far and above the better beer. An excellent and authentic example of a pilsner. 6,5,7,4,15
Re-rate: Still one of the finest pils I have tried. Amazed by the head retention as it lasts through the whole glass. MilkmanDan (1940), Eagan, Minnesota, USA

Like the flavor, lots of soft malts asserting themselves as opposed to a more Prima-esque hopster. Bit grassy again, good hops at the end, really well-balanced stuff. Rather full and chewy for a pils, the malts really kick some butt in this one. I like this one better than most people do, apparently. NeonLX (258), Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 9, 2002 Out of the bottle, this beer poured a nice light golden color with a gorgeous head that dissipated slowly. I found the flavor reasonably complex, with a subtle but lasting hoppy finish. This stuff is A-OK. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 17, 2002 Not as much aroma as I’d have liked, but the flavor makes up for it. The hops are there, and the flavor is really quite refreshing. A well-crafted product from Capital. I hadn’t cared for their Wheat though and didn’t expect much from this, either. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2006 2006 bottle (I assume) from StewardofGondor, consumed on 4/19/06. Large-bubbled white head is aggressive and slow to recede, piling itself atop a lightly chill-hazed golden, old brass colored body with plenty of tiny bubbles. Fair amount of lacing, and sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Aroma is saazy and even lightly herbal-plant-like with something like Norther Brewer or spalt. I’m pretty poor at distinguishing low AA German hops, so my apologies if I’m dead wrong. Light dough and yeast on end asserts a balance. Medium strength to the aroma, with some funky/sweaty notes that I just can’t attribute wholly to Saaz. Some dry, toasty, sauna-smelling grains add to the crispness. First sip and I get a rush of spicy, peppery, freshly cut herbal hops. Sweet honey nips at the palate, but is wisked away on a flurry of fine carbonation and hops bitterness/spiciness. It fizzles about (the peppery-herbal hop notes), like a sparkler flaring up before going out, upon a light plant-like and graham cracker (dry) background. Crisp, with pleasantly tasteful carbonation on the end. No alcohol, no flaws, near perfect attenuation. Could use some more malt dryness, as the mouthfeel is perilously near to round (were it not for the carbonation), but the malts should be a little edgy/biscuity, regardless of carbonation.
