| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 8, 2009 I liked this beer.......not loved....lliked. I wanted to say it was the greatest thing since Blatz, but that would be a vicious lie. I would hoist this one again, if I was offered one free. I doubt if I would pay for it again, though.
If Blatz, Schlitz and this were on tap I’d order a Blatz for myself, chase it with a Schlitz and then say, "This is the BOMB!" all while ignoring the so-called fancy-pants "Pilsener".
Don’t question it. Believe it. bhensonb (4380), Woodland, California, USA

Medium plus body with medium carbonation. Flavor is pale malt and grassy hop, then the malt goes a touch bready. Clean, refreshing. Very drinkable. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 27, 2009 Bottled at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm. Clear golden, small head. Grassy nose with paper underneath. Mid-sweet and a bit fruity. Light-medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. The hops are there, but it’s way too sweet, too rounded and too simplistic to be a German pilsener, loosing all sense of drinkability. Feels dead dull. If anything it’s more akin to German supermarket beers like Becks or Warsteiner than the real stuff. Would not qualify among the top 1000 pilseners in Germany.
