| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 20, 2008 Pours a transparent deep golden bronze with a thin, wispy white head. Aroma of fairly fresh, slightly resiny grapefruity hops with some mild sweet pale maltiness. Body starts semi-sweet with some grainy pale malty character balanced with some piny flavoring and bittering hops toward a semi-dry finish. Pretty drinkable, but not as assertive as some APAs. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 11, 2008 Screw-Top Bottle: Clear golden/yellow body with a smallish white head. It has a pretty subdued aroma, some sweet pale malt and light hop scents of grapefruit and pine. Nice and snappy mouthfeel. The flavor is sweet with pale malt, has a bit of toasted white bread, and a rather indistinct hop bitterness. The hops are more defined in the finish - pine, grapefruit, and flowers. Sessionable.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 23, 2007 Updated: Nov 24, 2007Light golden to straw color. Smallish off-white head. Head caramel malt aromas with light citric zest and a touch of pine wood. Full feel with tight bubbles that carry it across the palate. Fairly dry, in that there is not much sweetness to this one. Some light caramel and a touch of bread dough that is displaced quite quickly by grapefruit zest. I touch too bitter for for my palate, at least without some more sweetness and malt to back it up. Light pine wood come back in at the finish and linger. Needs some more sweet malt or hops flavors to liven this one up. As I’m near the end, things have warmed up a touch and the flavors do seem to be coming out some more. I’ll need to re-evaluate with another bottle soon. Re-evaluated the next day. Still seems like a premium lager with an ale yeast. not enough malt depth. bhensonb (4342), Woodland, California, USA

Very light aroma of pale malt. A little floral hop. Medium body with average carbonation. Flavor is light caramel and something floral. Tasty little thing. heemer77 (4312), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Bright, medium gold body with a light off white head. The aroma is classic light grapefruit with some dandelions. There is also a little a little bit of bread crust. The taste has light grapefruit flavors with some bread crust. A little bit of floral notes creep in as it warms. The body is sharply carbonated and this is a little distracting. Skyview (4061), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Sampled on draught at the brewery taproom in Middleton, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale yellow brew with a thin white head that quickly dissolves to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of light bread malt with an abundance of grapefruit zest, piney hops and tart lemon. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with smooth and creamy flavor that has a good balance of bready malt and citrus zest. Finish has a malty flavor at first and then a lingering mild bitter aftertaste. Received word that Capital Brewery will be bottling this pale ale soon.
