Pours light copper tinted amber with a 1-2 finger creamy beaige head that has good retention. Aroma is big sweet and grainy malts, some caramel, wheat bread, Bit O’ Honey candy, sweetened granola, a decent dose of ethanol, and some herbal hops. Flavor is a huge bunch of sweet malt and caramel right away, toasted grain, honey roasted nuts, some dark fruit, sweet hay, nice toffee notes toward the middle as it warms, molasses cookie dough, some spice and herbal hops toward the finish. Palate is medium bodied with a slick entry and very dry boozy tingle finish. Overall this isn’t bad , it would make a nice cold weather brew. It is kind of odd though, almost seems like a doppelbock made with ale yeast and some extra hops.

This is a little infected but I haven’t had the bottle that long. Sweet malt aroma and flavor. Moderate hops, creamy mouthfeel. The foundation of a good beer, in spite of the infection. Low carbonation.

Murky orange-amber with a miniscule white head that is completely diminshing. Rich, figgy & malty aroma, notes of raisins, plums, thick caramelly molasses, some cinnamon spice and the slightest hint of alcohol. Sweet and sticky flavor, chewy malts with loads of toffee, caramel, light roast and cloves. Carbonation is mild-to-moderate, perfect for my tastes. What a pleasantly surprising beer, I really enjoyed it, and I’m happy to score this highly. Big thanks to Narnad for the bottle.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing off-white hear. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, while the flavor is sweet malty with notes of both fruit and caramel. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(11.23.08) 12 oz. bottle: Hazy amber-yellow with a diminishing white head. Sour aroma, like citrus rind. Tastes almost like babyfood. Light alcohol in the finish. Maybe this was a bad bottle, but I wouldn’t try this again.

Pours a very cloudy orange from the bottle with a white head that fades pretty quick. Medium carbonation but hard to see through its apple cider-like appearance. I could smell this beer forever. The first impression you get, is your drinking a mixed drink. Alcohol is definitely picked up as one of the first scents. Very sweet aroma of melon and citrus with a lesser candy sugar undertone. The alcohol flavor is definitely there through the whole taste. Lots of malt at the start, mostly a caramel with a lesser toffee taste. Middle carries the citrus flavor and bit with a touch of honey sweetness. Beer is pretty smooth for the amount of alcohol and flavors work well together. Good beer to put your day behind you and get you ready for bed.

Rich, sweet malty aroma, with little hops to back it up
Dark orange, slight haze, off white head
Malty flavors of biscuit, dark bread, some alcohol, no hop flavor. Some bitterness, but Malt is the game here
Med-hvy body, light carb, a bit warming<br< A rich, thick, savory ale, lots of body, mostly malty. could use a bit more hop character to add balance and interest.
