Bottle... Clear amber ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Hearty, earthy aroma with notes of biscuit and chicken broth. Strong, medicinal flavor. Bitter-sweet with toffee notes and earthy hops. A touch boozy. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Bitter, mineral finish. Cheers to ughsmash for providing the bottle!

Cloudy orange with a white head. Honey and carmel in the nose. Sweet honey and toffee palae. Earthy hop at the end.

Pours a cloudy orange tinted golden brown with a powerful white head. Nice caramel, raisens, honey, light grassiness, and a hint of alcohol. Very little carbonation and the flavors of honey and toffee assault the palate. A nice warming effect sets in on the mid palate and carries a light piney hop balance to the finish. A nice bready sweet malt follows through on the hops for the finish. A nice beer done very well. I have to disagree with the scores a bit, but to each his own.

12oz bottle purchased from the brewery, no date. Pours a clear honey golden with a one finger fading yellowish head. Aroma of toffee, raisins, brown sugar, Flavor is still sweet with raisins, toffee and brown sugar, though there is a some hop bitterness not noticed in the aroma. Thankfully this helps balance out the big sweetness. Alcohol is covered up very well--no idea this was 9.5%. Medium body with spritzy moderate carbonation. This does remind me of the Autumnal Fire and Eisphyre with the huge maltiness and fall leaves, but this is lighter and has more hop bitterness. Pretty decent, but I like the the aforementioned brews better.

12oz bottle vita trade with Ughsmash! - Thanks! - Pours bright amber with a short offwhite head. Aromas of toffee, caramel, some toasted malts, and raisins. Flavor is caramel, toffee, toasted malt and raisin. Smooth easy drinking palate for a large beer but a touch of the alcohol comes through at the somewhat warm and lingeringly sweet finish.

This was a good beer but not a great one. It opened a bit fizzy but after it sat and warmed the carbonation went down. It was a very nice caramel color, but a bit bland on the taste. The alcohol is not too strong for a 9.5% beer.

Light caramel and alcohol coming off in aroma, with hints of a sugary orange jam, taste is the everpresent caramel ,candy raisin, pear sweetness, leaving a sweet film on the tongue, alcohol evident in the finish, more fruitiness comes through as it warms, Somewhat light bodied for a 9.5 ABV ,probaly ok as a light sipper

A bit fizzy on the opening and a quickly dissipating head. Weak lacing which makes me aware that this might not be as thick as I would hope. Fizzy CO2 level which really took away from the body and mouthfeel. A bit thin for this style and the flavours just aren’t where they should be for a vintage ale. Sticky sweet malt presence and a weak hop profile helped to confuse the issue here. Again with the CO2 levels as well which took away from the experience. The one positive to this is that the alcohol levels were hidden fairly well with a bit of a fusel character coming on late in the finish. Disappointed.
