Pours a hazy copper color with a white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, apple, and some grain. Flavor is malty, caramel, grain, apple and a bitter spicy hop finish.

Pours orange/red in color with a small tan head. Average lacing and average carbonation. Smells of fruity hops dominate. Taste is very hoppy with a ton of citrus. The high 9.5% ABV is very well hidden. Very tasty beer is fairly good and worth a try.

Small off-white head of fine bubbles. Aroma of cornbread and sweet sticky malts. Maybe a hint of fruit. Color is a hazy copper. Light malt flavor. Bock-ish in style. Lots of malts and a bit of honey. Finishes sweet and malty with a nice alcohol presence. OK but nothing special.

20070120 I’m a bit put off by a ’vintage’ ale that does not give me a year, but whatever... Somewhere between a paler maibock or so many of these ’imperial pilsners’. Pear juice from fruit salad can. Very drinkable.

12oz bottle -- a pleasant surprise from a 12 bottle sampler. Pours a cloudy and effervescent copper-amber color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is relatively light but pleasant, with notes of grain, syrupy hops, caramel, and dark fruit. Taste is medium bodied, with a flavor of roasted malt, dark fruit, and syrupy hops building into a crisp, strong finish of caramel, molasses, and warming alcohol. A wonderfully pleasant and drinkable strong ale.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Hazy, amber golden with a yellowish head. Fat, caramellish aroma with some aroma hops. Rather full-bodied with sweetish caramel and fruit - some overripe fruit even. Also has some burned caramel. Rather bitter finish. Neat. 040408

Bottle shared w/theisti & tjthresh. Pours a bright, hazy golden-orange with a thin, wispy, off-white skin. The nose is comprised of fruity notes of apple and sweet malt. Medium-bodied and slick with a lightly dry finish. Round malt up front with notes of peat and dark, fruity malt; nice. This is a nice, warm, fireside brew. It isn’t extraordinary, but I rather like it.

Hazy amber with tiny short lasting head. Sweet fruity aroma with caramel notes. Flavor likewise. Ends sweet.
