Nov 13, 2007 Pours deep gold with amber hints. A silky looking bubble structure congregates at the edges, is off-white, fails to form any substantial head or lace. The nose is very, very sweet with only modest hints of rice. Raw grain and maize flow freely from the glass and are a turnoff. Toffee and caramel appear briefly, again in the flavor. A feeling of extracted oils from rice lend to a buttery diacetyl component. With further warmth, more rice escapes the glass and balances out the sweetness with a subtle earthiness. This is indeed a strange golden ale with an equally strange grain bill. An awkward experiment, which is a real shame - I loved Barley Johns interpretation of the same idea. This is just this side of drinkable. Finishes sweet, lingering grain fade softly away. Very light on the palate.

Oct 26, 2007 Pours a clear orange, with a small white head. Smells of sweet citrus, malts, and light grain. The flavor issomewhat subdued. Very easy drinking and smooth going down. Definitely had a little fruity malt character to it. The aftertaste was lightly sweet, with some fruitiness and grainy malts backing it up. Simple, but drinkable.

Oct 25, 2007 Tampa Gathering.Thanx Hopscotch for sharing this strange brew.Pours golden with a small white head that laced well.has a sweet, cereal like nose.Flavor was like fresh fruit on my morning cereal.Finish was light and sweet.

Oct 17, 2007 Bottle... Hazy golden beer with a small, wispy, white head. Decent retention. Notes of orange blossom honey, diacetyl, orange and lemon peel, pale mash and white tea meld to create a unique aroma. The flavor is mostly sweet and fruity with just a hint of earthy hops. Medium-bodied with modest carbonation. Short, crisp, lightly sweet finish. Cheers to ughsmash for providing the bottle!

Jul 1, 2007 Aroma of sweet potatoes. Light malt flavor. There is lots of real wild rice in the flavor, as well as brown sugar with some nuttiness. Interesting.
