Commercial Description:
Loosely based on Vienna style, Wisconsin Amber is a rich, malty lager balanced out with mild hop bittering and enticing hop flavor. Very fulfilling. Very drinkable.

Bright amber with a thick white head. Good toasted malt aromas lead to a strong caramel malt profile. Creamy and light with a great depth of flavor. Finishes dry with some tangy hops.

12 oz. Bottle. Visit friends house in Wisconsin and instead of having Miller in the fridge this was one of his favorite beers. Slight floral aroma. Good amber color body with decent head. Had somewhat of a fruit flavor along with some medium bitterness. Had a musty bottle glass somewhat bitter aftertaste but not bad of a beer.

Pours a four finger white head that fades quickly to a ring leaving traces of lace. Almost clear amber color. Light carbonation and light=medium bodied. Hoppy nose. Starts balanced, some sweetness with hops mainly in background, dry finish, tolerable amber. $1.79 for a 12oz bottle from John’s Grocery Iowa City, Ia.

A rather ordinary amber. Not a distinct aroma-- neither pleasant or non pleasant. Not as full-bodied as a Riverwest-Stein or an Eliot Ness. An OK beer but I wouldn’t go out of the way to find some of this. (As much as I want to support the Badger State Brewery). I have had better offerings from Capital.

A nice amber color with a medium head. A light malty aroma with a hint of citrus which matches the flavors you get. A slight buttery finish. A very nice beer too bad I can’t find it at home. .

Bottled. Poured a clear medium orange with a tall cap of off-white headage. Nose was light with notes of yeast, pears, caramel, and autumn floral hoppage. Almost smoky smooth caramel gracefully washed over the palate interspersed with faint fruity esters and floral bitterness. Really felt good on the palate. Roasty caramel formed the base for the finish. I really enjoyed this one.

On tap at brewery: Slight pine hop in smell. Some caramel. Very pale orange/red color. Sweet initial flavor with minimal flavor in middle. Slight citrus hop finish.
