Commercial Description:
Loosely based on Vienna style, Wisconsin Amber is a rich, malty lager balanced out with mild hop bittering and enticing hop flavor. Very fulfilling. Very drinkable.

(12oz bottle) Clear amber body with medium off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, malty -- caramel, bread. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, bread, light sourness and a bit of spiciness. No hop characteristics noticeable. Light-medium body.

This one was from a batch at a resort in Door Co. Wis. There was no head, just a little residual lace. The aroma was malt heavy with just a hint of bread dough. Just enough hops to keep it balanced. It had the dark ’amber’ color. It also went down smooth. Highly recommended by me.

Pours an abmer color with nice size head. Aroma is of caramel malt, light floral hop aroma, and doughy smell. Taste much the same. Easily drinkable this is a pretty tasty brew.

Bottle: Amber/orange color with a medium off white head that lasted a bit. Aroma is a bit of caramel malt with a hint of grass and yeast. Flavor is bread and lightly sweet caramel malt with a hint of fresh hay in the finish. The flavors aren’t quite as pronounced as some of the top Viennas but this is still a very good beer.

Dark amber in color with an off-white head that lasts about 3 seconds. Caramel, straw, and hay aroma. Pretty hefty caramel flavor lends a moderate sweetness, with a light roastiness and light bitterness. Bitterness is a tad more pronounced in the immediate aftertaste and is a little earthy. Moderately carbonated, with a nice, round mouthfeel.

Had on tap at Noah’s Ark Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Pours a medium copper, good bubble action and a frothy off-white head. Aroma has a little bit of caramel to it with some fresh lake water accents. Hints of caramel in the flavor with some underlying nuttiness. Sweet, but not sickenly so. Clean, even mouthfeel. Overall, decent.

Slightly sour aroma and flavor balanced by mild hop bitterness. Perfect Vienna. I love Capital Brewery beers.
