I did like the smooth malty flavor coupled with slight hops. Sweet and drinkable. Malts are a little chewy. Well balanced beer and a perfect grilling beer. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 16, 2005 Pous an amber color as expected, both head and lacing are good. Aroma is malty and mild, very mild citrus. Flavor is mild, smooth, and malty. Malts blend seamlessly with hops in the forefront, with a nice toasty section in the middle, and a dry, mildly bitter finish. Aureth (20), Knoxville, Iowa, USA

Armoa is minimal, some sweetness and a little bit of hops. Flavor is a bit nutty, slightly fruity. Easy finish with some residual spiciness in the background. An easy drinking beer. I was pleased to find it on tap later in the day at Prime Quarter, and a pitcher of it went over well with my friends and with my steak. hezron (604), Viroqua, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 1, 2005 Amber/orange in color with an inch tall off-white head which hung around for a few minutes. I couldn’t get much from the aroma. Flavor is a nutty honey mixed with pine, slightly acidic. Body is on the lighter side, dry texture with a metallic finish. 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 1, 2005 I had this at a bar. The appearance is an amber color. It had a tan, bubbly head with good lacing. Smells like a typical amber beer. A bit light. The flavor is of sweet honey, evergreen hops, with a mild bitter kick. The palate was a medium mouthfeel with a soft carbonation. Overall, a decent amber. Not very artful, however. PhillyBeer2112 (2089), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 27, 2005 Darkish amber, medium fading head. Aroma a little substandard. Hop levels low, a bit of a woody mushroomy presence at most. Typical. Clean and sweetish palate, but I’d prefer something more along the lines of an "authentic" vienna with those richer juicier vienna malts. With this instead I get a light caramel flavor, a tinge of butterscotch. I would take this to be Capital’s attempt at something a little more accessible, but of course they succeed by foregoing character and authenticity. obisbeer (558), Barcelona, Spain

Med weight with light sweetness that ends quickly. Rich with light fruit and dull muted roasted flavors. Not bad not great. RAYBOY01 (1867), Chicago, Illinois, USA
