Commercial Description:
Loosely based on Vienna style, Wisconsin Amber is a rich, malty lager balanced out with mild hop bittering and enticing hop flavor. Very fulfilling. Very drinkable.

Thanks to Duane for this. Amber/slight ruby pour with minimal head. Aroma of malt, spice, fruit, slight cognac. Tastes malty, with some frutiness, slight caramel, and toffee in the finish. Solid.

bottle. a rich amber color with a nice head. not as carbonated as I expected, which is fine with me. aroma is of malt and taste is very smooth. I can understand why this brew is a popular choice on the UW campus.

dark golden color w/ little carbonation bubbles frothy white head. smells fruity w/ hints of citrus maybe a touch of bannana and hints of barley.. the plaate was light and plain.. the flavor was fairly light w/ hints of hopps. Overall its nothing special but not bad.

(bottle sample) Pours a pretty copper color with a fast disappearing thin head. Aroma is very hoppy. The flavor I expected from the aroma was amalty monster but is somewhat tempered by a suprising sweetness. Not my favorite Capital brew, but very enjoyable.

Nice clean beer. Easy quaffer. Well made but really nothing distinguishable. Love the brewery, you really can’t go wrong if you are looking for nice session lagers here

Tap: This poured a copper color with a short-lived white head. The aroma is of very sweet malts and fresh grasses. The taste, too, is very sweet, quite caramelly. There’s kind of a surprising bitter finish. It’s not bad.

Golden brown with a nicely caramelled and hallertaued nose. Body is thin, but tasty. Malt charachter is bigger with plenty of caramel and a hint of nuts, grassy and dry at the finish wirth even a slight bitterness. A nice Vienna.

Transparent bronze appearance, short-lived, slim off-white head. Nose is a bouquet of caramel malt sweetness, with herbal, grassy notes, as well...rich and arousing. Caramel and toffee tones return on the palate, big and brash in taste, sticks long in the senses, before slipping away. Medium-bodied, long, slick finish. Full-forward sweetness, a constant pleasure and easy as pie to travel down the throat. Unbeatable, as far as Vienna lagers go. I’d take one any time.
