May 17, 2003 Nice tall foamy tan head.Light amber color.Malty sweet aroma very hoppy.nice malt taste the hops really shine through on this one.Some what spicy,very nice hop after taste that seems to last for a long time.No wonder people are tripping over each other to get beer from this brewery they make a damn fine brew that is highly drinkable.

Feb 27, 2003 Amber color with decent head at first. Malty, slightly hoppy aroma. Some smokiness in the body, dry finish. A decent beer, easy to drink.

Feb 26, 2003 Decent appearance, not for the body but the fluffy off-white head. Muted aroma, though perhaps I served this too cold. Smooth, slightly creamy body, but a lingering metallic flavor overwhelms whatever enjoyment of the malt character I get from this. Very drinkable, but not rocking my world--then again, having been born and raised in Minnesota, nothing related to Wisconsin has every rocked my world!

Feb 7, 2003 Orange brown or tea color.Off white thick head quickly diminishes.Good malt hop mix, with some tartness and soapy flavor. Small bubbles. I like the 1900 better.

Jan 23, 2003 Dark Amber. Diminishing head. I'm having a hard time describing this. Pretty typical for the style but something's not quite right. I found this a little too thin on the palate and overly malty with some metallic off notes resulting from fizzy carbonation. It not bad. It just doesn't sit right with me.

Jan 23, 2003 Updated: Feb 11, 2003Great orange color, nice head, crystal clear. Does not have the malt taste like a true Vienna, so it is not as heavy. Not as good or as true to the style as Lakefront or Great Lakes. This is a great six pack beer.
rerate: Had a bottle from their summer tour pack and the one thing I noticed that I can not believe I missed was the pine aroma. It was like walking in a big evergreen forest. I dont know if this bottle was fresher than the 6-pack I had previously to get such a strong pine aroma. If it is then this would not make a good session beer as the pine aroma would be too much to handle for more than a couple of them.
