Small white head quickly fades and leaves good lacing as you drink it down. Aroma is mostly citrus hops, some bitterness and sweet malt hints. The beer has a very citrus orange heavy flavor mixed with some sweat caramel flavors. Mouth feel is good, not too thick and not too thin. Overall a beer I would definitely seek out again to pick up. noncaloric (620), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Aroma: Sweet malts, slightly grassy. Appearance: Clear amber, a finger of off-white head, spotty lacing. Flavor: Nice malty backbone, a little caramel, a little sweet malt syrup. Grassy hops. Marred by mild oxidation and a bit of detergent in the finish. Palate: Smooth and caramelly, but very drinkable. Petrucci914 (584), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA

Pours an amber color with a medium frothy head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma is caramel malts and a bit of hop spice. Taste is caramel malt, toffee, with a spicy hop finish. An easy-drinker. msante79 (835), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 20, 2008 Pretty mild amber. Flavors included some light sweet malt, light caramel, and mild hop bitterness. Smooth body but not a lot of flavor overall. Decent brew but not worth a second buy. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2008 7/14/2008: Wisconsin Amber pours a nice, orangy-amber color with a creamy, mostly lasting beige head that creates good lacing on the glass. The carbonation is lazy and contributes to smoothness and creaminess of the medium body. The aroma and flavor both have a pronounced citrus/candy orange quality. The toffee-flavored maltiness works well with the mild bitterness. Again, this is a quite impressive amber ale and better than expected. It is very different in flavor to the Keweenaw Red Jacket Amber Ale that I had just prior to cracking open this can of Capital Wisconsin Amber, but it is still just as good for different reasons. It could site down with a case of either and enjoy the beer quite thoroughly from the first can to the last!
12 fluid ounce can from buckybeer. Thanks Mark! Rating #206 for this beer...
