Commercial Description:
Loosely based on Vienna style, Wisconsin Amber is a rich, malty lager balanced out with mild hop bittering and enticing hop flavor. Very fulfilling. Very drinkable.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear coppery amber with a fleeting white head and good carbonation. Aroma is earthy, with strong notes of malt, yeast, grains, and a twinge of hops. Taste is medium-bodied and sweet, with an initial flavor of citrusy and floral hops giving way to a finish of roasted malt and grain. Simple but yummy summertime beer.

Capital’s flagship brew, and my first from them. Nice brightly coloured clear amber with a medium white head which quickly diminishes. Fruity aroma of pears, plums and a little grain. Taste is light, refreshing and pleasent throughout the beer.

Appearance: Pours a clear, amber body encircled by a thin ring of white bubbles. Smell: Simply a light aroma of sweaty grains, bruised citrus fruits, and perhaps a slight floral touch. Taste: Light toasted maltiness with a mild sweetness. Very, very slight nuttiness. Floral hint. Spicy hop character with a medium bitterness to balance. Fairly clean finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: There’s not much to say except that it’s a nice, easy-drinking lager.

Bottle...malty with good hop flavor. Starts with flavors of burnt carmel, finishes with a tinge of sweetness and floral hoppiness. Very good.

Amber pour. Malty aroma. Very malty flavor, sour and sweet. Not at all what I was expecting, but I didn’t know it was a Vienna. Very malt oriented. Lots of caramel and toffee. Average body.
