| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 16, 2007 (Bottle) Pours an amber color with a small white head. Aroma of light toasted malts. Initial taste is of sweet caramel, as well as some hazelnut. Palate was near average. The caramel got a little bit cloying towards the end. Not a bad beer, but somehow a disappointment. holdenn (1445), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 10, 2007 Sampled on the brewtour in their beer garden. I’m surprised I haven’t rated this one yet. Well at least I have a Vienna rating before I go there. Malty grain nose and flavor a little fruit, a little sweet. Hmm, trying all these capital beers reminds me of the duff factory. "Here we have Duff dark, duff light, and duff dry" all from the same tube. I like the clean consistency of their beers but I’m surprised by the lack of variety in their middle of the road beers. I do wish they had the eisphyre and dopplebocks on tap. Oh well cheers, Capital! xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

Sweet malt and somewhat fruit, smoe bitterness. Med body, somewhat creamy. Not too exciting. hellbilly (1566), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 19, 2007 Had a tap of this at Bodega Brw Pub downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin. Poured with a nice off-white head and plenty of lace. Clear color. Light aroma. Slightly hoppy. Mild malt. Very drinkable. Session beer. Perhaps a tad watery. But that might be just cause I was just drinking a really huge beer. nice finish. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA

Aroma is light slightly sour malts, hops. Flavor is candied malts, detected a tad of banana, light hops. I liked this one quite a bit. incutrav (576), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 25, 2007 The bottle says "Rated #1 Brewery" or somthing like that....im wondering...by whom??? Not a bad beer, not a very exciting style, but very drinkable stuff, quite malty with a touch of hops in there. I like all the WI brews typically, as its where i grew up.
