Draft at Baltimore Harbor. Deep copper pour, with aroma of heavy hops plus solid caramel malt. The flavor provides a nice balance of malt and hops, and this one finishes extremely smooth and crisp, pretty much ensuring a refill.

On tap at shirlington. A less sweet more hoppy version of this style. Color was a clear brown with red hues. As mentioned the nose was of faint caramel and fruit. The flavor was a bitter hoppiness. The finish was metallic and not enjoyable. Medium bodied, crisp, quick finish.

This was a nice beer from the tap. It had a nice head with a light brown caramel color. The notes on the nose and palate were big hops and the malt flowed nicely with the overall flavor!

Amber color and a clinging head. Creamy malt taste, toasted grains. Stinging bitterness with a dirty texture. Medium body and a grity mouth feel. Decent. Fresh and moderate amber ale.

Sampled on tap on 7/15/06 at the downtown location: Pours a transparent copper orange with well-lacing, thin, off-white head. Sweet, grainy earthy caramel aroma has some faint hoppiness. Body starts with a touch of sweet toast malt, quickly fading into a more bitter, earthy, and dry finish. Needs more lingering malty sweetness.
