On tap in Arlington. Pours a clear amber with a average white head. The head has good retention with little lacing. Has a decent aroma of caramel, nuts, and hops. The carbonation is good. Flavor is well mixed malts and a hoppy kick. Tasty and refreshing. Has a medium body with a thin texture. The finish is good and a nice aftertaste. A pretty easy drinking tasty beer.

On tap at Capitol City Brewing Co. First DC beer! Clear medium amber color with a medium white head. Aroma is slightly hoppy with citrusy and earthy notes as well as caramel malt. Flavor is fairly sweet and malty - caramel malt is really showcased here - along with some light tropical fruit and citrus/earthy hops. Body is fairly full for the style and mouthfeel is very smooth. Drinkability is high. Nice balance overall, well-done for the style and I can see why this won GABF gold.

On tap at the Capitol Hill location. Pours a deep, reddish, clear copper with a small, white head that has okay retention and little to no lacing. Aroma is a bit nutty, caramel, but mostly subdued. Taste is caramel malt and intense bittering hops. This is full-bodied for an amber. Very filling, rich, thick. Sort of like a better version of Yuengling.

Tap @ Capitol Hill.
Deep copper color, clear. With an off-white head, great lacing. Aroma has a huge toasted malt character. Nice toasted grain flavor. Grassy hop gently follows.

Dark for an amber ale, no head. Very hoppy aroma, with a medium body. One of the best on tap.

Serving: Draft. Appearance: Clear amber color with a creamy, off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma: Malty nose with notes of caramel and light floral and citrus notes. Flavor: Hoppier than I was expecting. Malty for sure with caramel, toast, and bread notes. Citrus and slight earthy hop notes. Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium-long finish. Overall: A nice hoppy amber. Not a bad selection when they have it on tap.
