The aroma is sweet with strong notes of apricot, and so is the flavor, though with a dry, OK bitter end, but still with strong notes of fruit lingering around. A bit too much apricot for my liking. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 25, 2006 (Draft, Capitol Hill) Small white head atop clear copper body. Aroma is medium sweet, apricot, some earthy/grapefruit, caramel. Taste is medium sweet, apricot, grapefruit/earthy, some caramel. Medium body with some stickiness, light acidity. Moderate bitterness -- sure the apricot is the primary flavor, but this is an IPA, and anyone who isn’t into hops (no one here) is going to be disappointed. Fresh, fruity apricot aroma floats above a subtle crystal maltiness and some mild floral hops. Body starts with some crisp fruitiness turning more muddled and very buttery toward a dry finish. The fruit character is nice, but the buttery flavor has got to go. hopscotch (5513), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Mostly of fresh apricot. Tart, tangy, balanced flavor with a suggestion of apricot. Medium bitter and medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Lengthy, tangy then bitter, dry finish. Nice! ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2006 Sampled at Capitol City, Capitol Hill, DC. Soft, very slightly cloudy orange and amber color. Somewhat faint nose of creamed apricots and almonds, yeasty too. A bit rind-like, mildly tart like peach and apricot skin, lightly sour. Uses the hops really well with the apricot fruit, making the fruit character almost transparent in this beer. Flavors tend to blend well between fruit, sweetness from the grains, and the hops. Amber color, thin head and nice lacing. Nose of apricot, bright and up front with a bit of citrusy hops complimenting it. The flavor is nearly overpowered with the fruit, a bit of malt shines through. Tart finish, a bit too much extract perhaps? Even apricots don’t taste this...apricotty. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2006 Draft at the Union Station location during the RBSG DC Pub Crawl. Copper bodied. Nose has a strong apricot aroma. It’s probably artificial, but damn, it smells nice! Also, some light hops and sweet maltiness in the aroma. Taste is equally fruity with lighter hops, and semi-sweet malts. Body is medium and creamy. Mild carbonation feel to this one. Finishes somewhat sweeter with more apricot notes, light hops and creamy malts.
