kidmartinek (972), austin, Texas, USA May 19, 2008 Pours translucent copper with the lage characteristic belgian head, that unfortunately, the bartenders work their best to pour off into the drain. The aroma is weak and a little fruity, some vanilla, and wood esters. Lacing is weak. Carbonation is heavy even after bartendress poured all the head off. Bubling remains out of control. Flavor is fruity, doughy, musty, a little dirty, gum, fruit ester, and sappy. Mouthfeel is fizzy, and has a lot of bite. Finish has a thicker texture (medium) and is kinda flavorless, except for a little bit of bubblegum. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 03/22/2002

mj (4975), Colorado, USA Apr 5, 2007 Draft Shirlington. Cloudy and murky semi-dark orange colored body with a white head. Crisp and doughy, tastes full of american ale yeast, coarse and prickly, not the spicy and estery yeast of Belgians. Full of biscuit and dough flavors, even some strange feta-like scents and some old moldy oranges as well. Overall it’s a pretty simple brew, even approaches bland after having a full pint. The faintness of the nose is probably the most damning thing.
