Commercial Description:
This lager like ale is modeled after the official beer of Köln, Germany. Kolsch is delicate and refreshing with a slight fruitiness and supportive, yet unobtrusive hop bitterness

Very pale, almost like water. Light body and nearly flavorless. Perhaps a good beer for a hot day.

On tap at Capitol City Downtown. Last beer of the night so I made notes as a deluge of alcohol brutally assaulted my brain, as has happened on many, many an occasion. It’s really a miracle that my IQ has not dropped into the single digits after all this. Anyway, this beer pours a clear bright golden color with a nice white head that sticks around and leaves some lacing. Aroma is pale malt, grain, and mild grassy hops. Flavor is more of the same - pale malt, graininess, grassy hops. Almost exactly what you’d expect for a fairly good representation of this style. Palate is somewhat light and crisp with an appropriate carbonation level.

On tap at Capitol City. Pours a clear yellow with a thin white head. Crisp lemon and light grain, with a hint of plastic. Piles of grain, little bit of lemon. More bitter grain on the finish.

Clear golden yellow, white head. Aroma of bready malts. Clean crisp hops. Flavor is bready. Clean, crisp, and refreshing. Nice lingering hop left behind.

Draft @ Brewpub: Poured a golden yellow without much head. The aroma was malty. The flavor was grainy and malty. Overall, the easiest beer to drink at this brewpub.

Sample at the Downtown location. The beer is a clear yellow-gold color with a thin and fizzy white head that burns away quickly. Spots of lacing on the glass under a ring at the top. Fruity aroma with malt underneath. Light and crisp body with flavors of fruit, sweet malt and mild grassy hops. The finish is fruity with a short mild bitterness left over. Just average overall.

On tap at Capitol City – Downtown
Appearance: bright golden ale with light white top.3-
Nose: grainy , malty nose with mild qualities , slight earthy tone on top.
Flavor/Palate : Mid-light bodied with good grainy , mineral feel , slight nutty character on top. Soft yet crisp late finish. Drinkable. Kolsch it is , not just another golden ale from USA.
