fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Oct 13, 2008 Draught at the brewpub, downtown Cloudy blond color. The aroma is not bad, but midway between an Ale and a Lager. The mouthfeel is dry, but there is some malt flavor, covered by a quite strong bitterness. Atypical, but good with food. scraff (1921), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Aug 21, 2008 Pint Downtown - Hazed gold, creamy white head. Fresh peppery floral aromas with hints of breadiness. Well bittered peppery saaz hop bite up front fades into a touch fruity florals. Just a swirl of yeastiness comes in late. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, bitter dry finish. Big time hops on this one. Maybe nimbleprop got the crap batch, but my version seriously rocked... nimbleprop (819), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA Aug 13, 2008 Sampled this at Capitol City’s downtown location. Pours a completely transparent, bright yellow with a foamy, active crisp white head. Standard aroma, slightly fruity with apples and pears and a little grainy with a touch of lemon zest. Flavor was similar, some apple like fruit and lemon zest and a touch of fresh cut grass. Watery finish is nearly non-existent. Why make a Czech Pils when you have a Kolsch on the menu? What about this is Czech other than probably the Saaz hops? Would anyone order more than one of these?
