Draft. Served in a goblet??? Very dark and opaque. Sweet and heavy, with chocolate flavor and aroma that is, perhaps, the strongest I’ve encountered. Some obvious alcohol in the aroma.

Draft on the Hill. Pours lovely black with nice tan head. Big coffee nose, slightly sweet with a touch of chocolate. Tastes like mildly bitter roasted espresso, touch of mocha, really nice. Medium body, a bit lively. Very tasty beer.

Cask at Shirlington. Thick, dark, and not too far from the Fuel (as I was informed that this was what Fuel is before the coffee is added). Rich aroma, and rich flavor. Fantastic chocolate flavors, and virtually no alcohol flavor. Don’t remember the head too well, but it certainly was thick.

This beer rocks! Pours as thick and dark as used motor oil. Burnt orange highlights when held up to bright light. No real head or lace to speak of. The aroma is of espresso, dark, Belgian chocolate, soy sauce and coffee grounds. The flavor has lots of alcohol, everything burnt, espresso and bitter-sweet chocolate. Very well-hopped. The alcohol and hops do a good job of balancing out the flavor. Full-bodied with a heavy, oily mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Lengthy, burnt, dry finish. Great, world class stuff! So much better than expected!

Deep amber-brown color with a quickly dissipating head. Nutty, mildly smoky aroma. Deep smoky/roasty, mildly nutty flavor. Mildly yeasty with a hoppy finish. Pretty good, robust, rich flavor.

Coal black body. Aroma strikes me as "porterish," medium sweet and very roasty malty. Taste is of a robust porter, big malty roasty, coffee, some velvety. No alcohol detected, and the beer has a pretty full body.
