Amber color, clear. White head. Spicy saaz aroma. Grassy and a crisp pils malt. Very well balanced. Nice caramel. Light toast. Very stick glass, well made beer. Perfect to style. Finishes with a bit of fruit and a well bittered hop character. Medium bodied.

Appearance: Light copper orange color with a tall, foamy white head.
Aroma: Floral notes, toasted malt, a bit of caramel.
Flavor: Grainy with some fusel alcohol, cardboard, and metallic notes. Light caramel and toasted malt notes.
Palate: Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium-short finish.
Overall: This one just wasn’t very good. Definitely skip it. tarheels86 (785), Washington DC, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 14, 2009 On tap in downtown. Pours a clear amber with a thin, white head. Great lacing. Aroma is honey, caramel, toasted malt. Taste at first is overwhelmed by cloying sweetness and then moves to caramel, honey. Dry, bitter finish. A bit syrupy mouthfeel. Not very impressive. radagast83 (1314), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

Pretty on target in the realm of Oktoberfest beers. Flavor is malty, tinge of hop character. ansermadide (516), Kyle, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 25, 2008 (On tap at Capitol City Brewing Capitol Hill Brewpub on October 17, 2008) Most notable (in my opinion) from this honey-amber brew was its grainy flavor. Malty and sweet. Yep, pretty grainy, might I say again. Syrupy palate. Not bad... it’s an Oktoberfest... what do you expect?
