Growler courtesy of dkachur and shared with the Phoenix Crew for the Black Friday tasting. Nice DC tick – thanks Dan! Pours medium gold with a thin off-white head. The nose is floral hops, caramel and light citrus. The taste is citrus, caramel malt and a decent piney finish. Medium mouthfeel. Good APA – much better than I expected. Thanks again Dan!

dc growler shared by sparky27 on 11/27/2009. coppery-bronze-y golden orange with a trim off white head. the nose is loaded with floral hops... along with orange fruit and pith, light pine, caramel malt and tingly spice. the flavor follows the same pattern... very herbal, grassy and earthy with a dry bitter finish. medium bodied. the texture is crisp and bright... perfect for a session.

Growler shared by Sparky27 @ the Black Friday tasting...THANKS AGAIN ERIC!!! 14 karat pour with a small head with huge bubbles. Aroma was quite floral with tons of bright citrus showing. Much hoppier than one would expect from the style. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty damn good brew.

On tap at Capitol City. Pours a clear light orange amber with a medium sized white head. Light sweet caramel and malt, little citrus hops. Nice citrus hop notes come through over a backbone of malt. Good grapefruit bitterness on the finish. Rather tasty.

Growler sample courtesy of Sparky27 -- thanks, Eric! Pours a light copper color with a frothy off-white head. Smells of plastic, grass, and hops. Not appealing to the nose. Tastes much better, thankfully. Loaded with citrus, hops, biscuit, and salt. Dece.

Sampled from growler courtesy of sparky27. Not much malt here hoppy nose like an ipa. Copper body with white head. Hoppy fruity flavor with some malt in the background. Cool and crisp on the palate. Thanks for the D.C. rating Eric and good beer to boot.

On tap at the Capitol Hill location. Pours a clear copper with a decent white, semi-rocky head that leaves very good lacing. Aroma is potpourri, floral hops, some citrus peels, but then there is a whiff of macro skunky/graininess. Um.... Taste is very bitter, poorly balanced towards the alpha acids. Not always bad but the hops here create an intense soapy bitterness rather than an addictive, citrus, fresh bitterness. Long, metallic bitterness in the finish.
