| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 13, 2009 Sample at the Downtown location. The beer is a dark brown color with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily. Patches of lacing on the glass. Roasty aroma with notes of coffee and malt. Medium body with flavors of roasted coffee, bittersweet chocolate and malt. The finish is malty up front with a coffee and hops aftertaste that lingers awhile. Decent overall.
