Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 4, 2009 Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast and a light spiciness. Light body, slightly citric and spicy. Some yeast and lightly astringent finish. 041009 MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Dec 14, 2008 A Mes rate. Draught at Brugge fest. Pale yellow with a good white head and nicely conditioned.. The aroma is that of a decent fruity wit with a lovely hint of tea tree and some pleasant lemon and spice along with the typical Belgian coriander notes. Similar flavour. The spice is good and the coriander makes for something really drinkable. Enjoyable and palatable. Would make some interesting fish batter I reckon. An interesting take on a typical Belgian style. SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy Nov 20, 2008 Bottle: Poured a golden color. The aroma is spicy and orange peel. Taste is spicy with pepper and corriander, some wheat. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 28, 2008 Huge white dense head, leaving fluffy rings over clear golden beer. Spicy nose, garden herbs, hints at coriander, ginger and green fruit or ditto tomatoes. Generally very discreet. Rather oppressive spicy-peppery taste, going over in duller vanilla and mannah, lavender - in reality no doubt the manuka leaf. A bit obtrusive, not discreet tastewise at all. Very spritzy, titillating MF. Reasonably refreshing, lighter body. Not really my taste, but interesting it is certainly. At the very least, it changes seriously from the usual coriander tisanes. daniele (1640), Italy Sep 14, 2008 chiara schiuma molto buona ma piuttosto grossolana e disretamente persistente note speziate erbacee leggermente agrumate acidule in bocca buona bevalegemente speziata poco luppolata abbastanza rinfrescante una nota piuttosto dolce Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium Sep 10, 2008 Bottle, 33 cl. Last sunday @ home. Thx tot BoBoChamp (Hopduvel)
Hazy yellow color, with good snowwhite head. Aroma, spice/herbs (Manuka leafs ?), some wheats tints. Medium body. Taste some malts, not the typical wheatbeer, more
herbs and spice, nice bitterness.
Special but good brew.
