Many thanks to BDR. Dark red color with no head. Strong sour aroma, lots of caramel malt and a big hit of a wine barrel, me thinks Cabernet Saugvinon. Monster fruit, plum and cherry flavors. Very winey and viscous. Definitely sour and tart, but moderately so, not as much as a Lambic. Caramel and chocolate malts finishing it out. Excellent.

750ml growler from goldtwins, thanks Larry. This puts me tied for 2nd on sourheads list. Pours reddish brown with no head. Nose is sweet and somewhat sour. Taste is very tart and somewhat vinous. Its a tasty sour, but feels somewhat 1 dimensional to me.

Poured an almost clear deep reddish copper color with minimal head and carbonation (from being kegged from the barrel). Woody, tart and fruity aroma. Tart fruity flavor. Tart finish. Light body with an acidic finish. I think more barrel time or something to make up what seems to be missing.

750ml bottle from larry. thanks man....pours a dark mahogany pour with a non-existent head which would have very much helped with its appearance.... aroma of tart vinegar, some mustiness, cherries, and a malt backbone.... flavors of tart cherries, wood, vinegar with very little carbonation but still had a decent sour bite. reminded me of that ommegang sour but def not as strong of an effort..

Growler shared by goldtwins... I thought I’d miss this one for sure, so thanks! Deep amber pour with a thin white head. Aroma is lightly vineous with a touch of soft cognac/brandy sweetness on the nose. It’s quite cheesey and stinky behind that. Lightly chewy and sweet and I just get a faint whiff of sourness. Some nice light minty character on the back. Light funk and a long lingering brandyish finish. It’s interesting, but I can’t say I’m really a fan of it.

Huge thanks to LilBeerDoctor. No head on this dark amber pour. Brown sugar and cherries. Mildly carbonated body. Sour cherries, brown sugar and oak. I could have used more carbonation, but I suspect directly off the tap would have been better. Still excellent. Further reflections, plum and dark fruit. Very vinous. Wine barrel?

Growler courtesy GodofThunder. Pours a dark amberish orange color with a small and bubbly off white head. The aroma shows notes of sweet and sour with sour cherries, sweet vanilla, and lots of oaky tannins. The flavor follows with some acidic vinegar, lots of oak flavors, and some sour cherries. Not as sour as I was hoping and definitely overboard on the oak. Medium bodied and slightly sticky with a lengthy finish. This was definitely a let down from these guys.

Thanks to GoldTwins for the trade. Pours a dark amber color with no carbonation. Aroma is strong wheat and other grains with a slight bitter sourness. Flavors are a strong cereal with sour cherries in the background. I got a ton of grain without a lot of sourness to balance things.
