Growler… Pre-C&P’sLYFO ThrowdownThis beer rocks!… Clear ruby/orange ale. Sweet, cheesy aroma with a malty undertone of praline. Medium to full-bodied with soft carbonation that dances lightly on my palate. Very tart with fruity sweetness that attempts to provide balance, but falls short... to my sour-loving taste buds’ delight. Finishes tart, tangy and then dries out a bit. An excellent Flanders red. Growler provided by GodOfThunder!

Pours brown with a thin ring of white filmy bubbles. Smells and tastes dry and sour with some vinous hints on the finish.

Growler shared by goldtwins... I thought I’d miss this one for sure, so thanks! Deep amber pour with a thin white head. Aroma is lightly vineous with a touch of soft cognac/brandy sweetness on the nose. It’s quite cheesey and stinky behind that. Lightly chewy and sweet and I just get a faint whiff of sourness. Some nice light minty character on the back. Light funk and a long lingering brandyish finish. It’s interesting, but I can’t say I’m really a fan of it.

Poured an almost clear deep reddish copper color with minimal head and carbonation (from being kegged from the barrel). Woody, tart and fruity aroma. Tart fruity flavor. Tart finish. Light body with an acidic finish. I think more barrel time or something to make up what seems to be missing.

Yeah Paul thanks for another upload. Pours a brown hazy body with a thin tan head. Dark cherries, tart with a moderate dry woodiness and some tannins. Some light acidity and a mild malt bill. Some light warming but well masked by the acidity and tartness of this one. Good brew.

Many thanks to BDR. Dark red color with no head. Strong sour aroma, lots of caramel malt and a big hit of a wine barrel, me thinks Cabernet Saugvinon. Monster fruit, plum and cherry flavors. Very winey and viscous. Definitely sour and tart, but moderately so, not as much as a Lambic. Caramel and chocolate malts finishing it out. Excellent.

Cask at EBF. Pours a deep dark woody brown with amber highlights and a thin diminishing head. Aroma is upfront with a sharp bright aceto, cherry pie, and other dark fruits mixed with a toasty and nutty lightly sweet malt backbone. Flavor is a bit muddled but there is some slight apple cider vinegar acetobacter- black cherry, earthy with some light oak, toasted malts, hints of burnt toast, dark caramel malts, fruity esters- raisin, and hints of green apple. Prickly acetic and sour finish. Pretty nice beer that will go well into souring other beers I think.

750ml growler from goldtwins, thanks Larry. This puts me tied for 2nd on sourheads list. Pours reddish brown with no head. Nose is sweet and somewhat sour. Taste is very tart and somewhat vinous. Its a tasty sour, but feels somewhat 1 dimensional to me.
