Pours a slightly hazy orange with a small diminishing white head. Wonderful resiny hop aroma nicely backed by caramel malt and some fruit -- simple but awesome. Flavour of resiny piney hops along with malt and fruit again -- lovely and so delicious. Nice long bitter finish. Medium bodied. Simply put, this is a great DIPA! jkwalking05 (1485), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 19, 2009 From the growler pours lighter orange/gold with a soft white head. Big floral citrus hop nose, lots of resiny grapefruit character. Long sweet smooth citrus hop flavor, dry medium bitter finish. Very good, but I had this right after the Surly IIPA, so it had some tough competition. alebrewer (122), Mentor, Ohio, USA

Wonderful aroma lots of hops and malt. Taste cashes the aroma’s check. Wonderful! the best DIPA out there by far. If I could only get this in OH!

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Growler from the brewery. Pours an almost clear amber with a medium to large sized creamy white head. Lots of lacing. Sweet citrusy hop aromas are abundant with a hint of malt. Medium body is laidback with a little bit of sweetness. Finish is a gentle grapefruit bitter that develops slowly. The alcohol on here is well hidden and while I might like a little bit more in the middle, quite a good double IPA.
