Jul 9, 2008 Growler gracioously given to me by The_Epeeist, huge thanks Chris!! Pours a coppery color with a medium sized pilowy white head. Aroma is citrus, lemon zest, caramel, pine. Flavor is citrus, pine, caramel, floral, hint of alcohol. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finished with a nice balance between sweetness and bitterness. Great stuff.

Jul 2, 2008 Growler from Big Z’s, Huntington, NY. Pours an orange/brown with a small thick white head. Aroma predominantly of grapefruit, also some citrus, pine, and grassy hops. Flavor of bitter citrus hops, nice cookie malt. Very thick mouthfeel. For 8%, this is quite syrupy and hard to drink. I liked the aroma but the palate is too thick and muddies up the flavors.

Jul 2, 2008 Growler. Awesome aroma of intense, tangy grapefruit, sweet green grape. Flavor got a little muddy for me with the distinct aromatic characters getting lost amidst thick, semi-sweet malt, and turning to little more than balancing bitterness. Tasty, but not my kind of DIPA.

Jun 26, 2008 On tap at two different bars: This poured copper in color with a medium-size head of very fine white bubbles. The nose was wonderful with scents of tropical fruits (mango, pineapple, orange) that make me think of Hawaii. The palate is rich and concentrated with great balance and finishes with a dry bitterness from the wealth of hops. This one just hits my sweet spot all around, great brew

Jun 20, 2008 Handbottle from sleepylopes. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to try this one! A nice golden orange colored brew with a thin white ring. Lots of fruit in this one a little grapefruit, followed by caramel malts and softer fruits like melon and apricot. Hops up front; pine, grapefruit, sweet orange. Caramel follows then lingering piney hops. Juicy and dank, just the way I like it. The malt adds a nice balance, but the hops are the best part here. Incredibly fruity and a good deal of balance. Insanely drinkable. Smooth. Hop resins coat the mouth. A very nice IIPA.

Jun 13, 2008 Really good stuff. There is a strong hop flavor with a hint of apricot. Kinda reminds me of a Sierra Nevada infused with a Magic Hat #9. The hop flavor is much stronger than the apricot taste though.

Jun 5, 2008 Growler. Gloriously resinous on the nose. Oozing with juicy goodness. Quite a bit of pine bark seeping sap and. Plenty of caramel and citrus peel to back up the dank pine. Pours a rich, bold copper with a lasting off white head. Plenty of bitterness on the tongue. Bitter citrus zest, dried cedar and other tree bark, balanced (not too sweet malt). Medium to full bodied. Rich and slightly chewy. Highly drinkable for an IIPA. Quite nice! Thanks Trevor!
