| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 9, 2007 (From a growler shipped by jjpm74) Great pine/grapefruit aroma upon opening it. Pours a clear reddish-amber with a nice white head (especially for coming from a shipped growler). Strong citrus bitterness with no detectable alcohol. Good long bitter finish. I’d love to try this bottled or on tap. Arayaga2 (970), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Updated: Sep 21, 2009Sweet grapefruity floral dryhopped aroma. Dry, steeped tealike hop taste with malty finish, but relatively low complexity. Draft at New Beer Dist, and rerate on a 500ml bottle. $5 alexanderj (2263), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 30, 2007 Hand bottled; recommended by golubj on my trip to New York City. Very nice aroma; citrus, grapefruit, pine and pineapple. Not a lot of up-front flavor, but the malt backing comes in fairly quickly, followed by a lot of pine in the finish. I liked the amount of hop finish; would have preferred a better tasting beginning. Still very enjoyable. dmac (1466), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 29, 2007 On tap from a sixtel at Dickinsonbeer’s apartment. Pours a great looking orange/amber with a huge frothy dense white head that lasts and lasts. Citrus hop aroma with a big grapefruit nose. Flavor is good but something drops out between the aroma and the flavor. Medium bodied with a slight bitter aftertaste. I love CL I only wish the beers were slightly more accessable. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Minimal haze obstructs the nice copper coloured body. Fading off-white film. Not hugely aromatic, but when you put an effort to it, it’s rather complex: the malts are well extracted, toasty and thick. Firm resiny hops with soft citric undertones and more piney, green sappy notes. Confident bitterness slices through the sweetness and the finish is dry all throughout. Medium to full bodied, excellent texture. Cleansing, medium-high carbonation. Good stuff that stays apart from what one may call standard. bp (457), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 19, 2007 Draft at the Blind Tiger. Copper in color with an off-white head. Aroma was of tropical, grapefruit, and pine hops. Not a lot of up-front flavor, but the malt backing comes in fairly quickly, followed by a lot of pine in the finish. Good amount of bitterness.
