Exquisite nose of white concord grapes and sour lemon candies with a pinch of white pepper. Taste starts with sour, but fruity, apple and pear. Oak smoothes out the tart edges leaving a refreshing, frozen grape sweetness with hints of cherry. Lightly effervescent, mouth watering, nectar. Dry grape skins and sour dough trail off blissfully. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 19, 2007 Cloudy, blonde. Wow...gooseberries...impressive sour fruitiness. Killer citrus - grapefruit & dalandan. Way sour, kind of grapefruit juice-like, and also quite spicy. Big citrus, crazy subtle nuances that don’t quite get at what they’re getting at. Very good brew - unique, complex and challenging. georgekessel (68), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 18, 2007 Foggy deep yellow color - flavor depended greatly from the top pour to the bottom pour. Extremely sweet, syrupy-grapefruit. Would be an excellent desert beer with apple, citrus and honeydew flavors coupled with an extreme grapefruit head. Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia

Fizzy carbonation. All throughout this beer I can’t think of much else but sublime citrus. Not actually that complex of a beer, and yet whatever flavors are here are assertive enough to keep you interested for a long time. I don’t like grapefruits themselves but when it is upfront in beer like this I melt. A must-try for sourheads. toncatcher (228), Santee - SAN DIEGO, California, USA

Aroma is white grapes, apple, oak, funk. Flavor is tart/sour grapes, apple, oak, lemon, grapefruit. Palate is medium bodied, actively carbonated, acidic and fizzy up front, gives way to fruity and tart in the middle then finished straight sour! This was amazing stuff! fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA

I don’t care what those Danes say, this is one good beer. Lots of tart fruits on the nose. Grape, apple, cherry, citrus. Flavors were very similar. Acidic, tart, and sweet on the finish. yummy... super yummy

| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Dec 3, 2007 Poured cloudy, with small head. This is one wild and crazy, yet absolutely wonderful brew. Citrusy and grapes up front, but a very Cantillonish punch to the jaws. Body was light and refreshing and very drinkable. Every aspect of this was great.
