Commercial Description:
This is a beer that will make you rethink your definition of beer. It doesn’t taste like any beer you’ve ever had, yet it doesn’t taste like anything else either. Pushing the limits of brewing is what makes this job so much fun. Malted barley, wild yeast, hand picked Muscat Grapes, and French oak wine barrels are just a few of the things that went into crafting this beer. Breathe deep, take a long sip, and enjoy the creation in your hand.

Bottle Batch #3 @ WTF OMG! Poured a hazy yellow. Nose is white wine, grapey, some spice, sharp sourness, funky. Flavor is mild blend of wine, vinegar, young fruits and lactic sourness. Mild funk. Young, but great!

Bottle batch 3 Pours out a cloudy yellow topped with a small head. Aroma was of spice, oak, and some berries. Taste light oak, some citrus tart and the berries showing threw. Thanks Sam.

375ml bottle thanks to bret27 (another awesome little bottle for belgian-style homebrew). Hazy blond color with a somewhat fizzy, yet lasting white head. The aroma is an intense blast of zesty and sour lemons and other fruit, but also has a nice soft sweetness that rounds it out and keeps your nose returning for more. The flavor has a relatively simple tart, lemony yoghurt, and apple flavor, with a very acidic finish. The oak and grapes play second fiddle to the bacteria, but add nice nuance. Almost creamy in texture with soft carbonation. This is really sour stuff, but has a soft, balanced feel overall that makes it very drinkable and inviting.

Bottle courtesy bret27. Poured into a 400 mL Bruery tulip. Hazy opaque light-goldenrod color with a filmy white head. Aroma is lemony with light meringue sweetness, some brett, apple, phenols, and a vinous note. Flavor of wine grapes, lemon, sour apple, chlorine, pepper, a hint of woody tannin. Great complexity all around. Not a ton of acidity but firmly sour with a nice drinkability.

[2369-20090801] Sample. Citrus lemon juice aroma. Murky, pale orange body with a quick bubbly white head. Pineapple and tart lemon juice flavour. Medium body. Interesting, good.

Big thanks goes out to puzzl and sonicdecent for this one. Big swirling pour. Pale color with just a hint of brown in there. Nice story on bottle. Smell is fabulously tart and funky. Initial palate has very good tingle. Initially the taste is really enjoyable and sour, then it morphs, with each sip into something a little more bitter. Sour yes, but also malty and hoppy at the same time. The bitterness does not override the session but fer certain it has its presence. Not a whole lot of funky in this brew, as with many real lambics. Hides the 6% alky content well. Bitterness keeps poking at the back of my throat after each slug. At times, I think it is even getting bile-ish to an extent. Tho very sour & solid, Could have much less bitterness on the finish. I think, however, it was designed into the brewing of this beer. Very glad to have had the chance to taste this stuff, thanks guys!

Sampled from a 12 oz green bottle this beer poured a murky yellow color with a trace white head. The aroma was tangy, dryish, tart and citrusy with a spicy undertone. The flavor was tart, tangy and citrusy with a Sweettart candy element. The finish was long Sweettart candies. Medium body. Decent.

Had this one at the RB Pittsburgh tasting. Brought it myself. Was quite frightened after hearing this one may be too spicy, but those fears were put to ease when I finally got to try it. Murky yellow pour, smell of great funk and light spice. The taste was spicy, but not enough that it caused any issues. In a perfect world, I would dial that down a bit, but this is still an extremely solid brew.
