Commercial Description:
This is a beer that will make you rethink your definition of beer. It doesn’t taste like any beer you’ve ever had, yet it doesn’t taste like anything else either. Pushing the limits of brewing is what makes this job so much fun. Malted barley, wild yeast, hand picked Muscat Grapes, and French oak wine barrels are just a few of the things that went into crafting this beer. Breathe deep, take a long sip, and enjoy the creation in your hand.

Shared by Corby at the CCB BB Big Sound release. Pours a hazy light gold with a small fizzy head. Nose is big sour apple and grape but lacks the complexity of some of the best sours. Some nice cider like grape skin aroma appears as it warms. Slight puckering sour up front but opens up nicely and is nicely balanced between tart and sweet. Finishes light sour with a nice aftertaste of fresh grape skins. This is really nice but I think it needs some age. This was the new batch.

bottle. batch 2. Thanks rodgers. poured a pale, sparkling color with a big white head that settled quickly. Aroma is funk, sour, fruit, lemon. taste is an explosion of sour grape flavor. Very refreshing and wonderful. Very sour with a funky after taste. This one is very nice. after taste lingers on the palate long after the beer is done. Fantastic.

Hazy but vibrant straw-colored pour. The fine, effervescent head disappears almost immediately. Nose is full of barnyard funk, citrus zest, and an underlying grape-like sweetness. Flavor reveals the muscats beautifully, and is surrounded by preserved lemon-rind, fireweed honey, and brett notes. Not overly sour, but there is a nice tartness to counterbalance the sweet elements. I dare say I can detect, and am thoroughly enjoying, a buttery chardonnay oakiness. Not much carbonation, but certainly enough to lift and accentuate the flavors. Very nice. Very nice indeed.

Batch 3 bottle thanks to wavers1! Pours a very lively hazy gold with a thin white head. Strong aroma with a mix of wild yeast and brett, white grape, apple, and pale malts. Sweet and peppery malt flavors with a sour peach and apple that end with notes of wood and a barnyard funkyness. This is one of the most unique sours I have had, and it has a sweetness that is nice and balances the sour/bitterness of the yeast. Really special.

Thanks to Cletus. A beer I’ve wanted to try for awhile. Tart aroma right away. My wife took a sniff and said "Not for me." But it’s for me. Apples. Grapes. Little honey. Hazy orange body. Some faint oak. Very nice and tart.

Batch 3 Thanks to Maltajo for the bottle. Light gold pour with a thick fluffy white head. Tart grapes, barrel note in the aroma. Smooth malt body, light crisp, grape tartness in the taste. Nice dry finish. Excellent brew.

Bottle (Batch 3) - thanks beerbaron420. Light hazy golden pour and a thin white head. Nose is soft with sweet and sours, grape, yeast, and a hint of honey. Taste comes through with some oak and more of a dry and tart feel. Sour, in fact. Light grape. Finishes very well.

Sample #32 at 1st CST, batch #2. Pours a clear slightly hazed light color, similar to a Belgian wit, small bubbly froth. Herbally aroma, sweet funky, light grape, lavender, perfumy. Flavor is sour lactic, harsh acidic cleaner, acidic, lightly nutty, quite dry. Clean feeling mouth-feel, very very light, great fluffy carbonation. An overall disappointment.

Botte Batch 3: Pours a cloudy orange/yellow color, very bright and vibrant looking, light head and lacing. Nose of funky yeast, tart and subtle balance with fruit and doughy esters. The flavor is so tart, but so balanced a huge sappy sour note and a complex sweet malty note. Sour but full bodied and balanced. Not puckering, just sour. Don’t get a lot of grape going on though. Delightful! Thanks Jake!!!!!!
