Black pour with a beautiful brown head. Oh the espresso comes out in this one so wonderfully. So does some chocolate and finely roasted malt. Flavor is a perfect combination of espresso, chocolate, roast and a fine background of hops. I wish I could drink this more often! JMFG (1514), Florida, USA

Solid beer on all fronts, quick side note. After buying some more of this beer and having a night devoted to it, it seems to give me an awful hangover compared to most other beers. Shouldn’t effect your desire to try this beer but all drinkers should know this one seems to be extra rough the next day Gethinbeer (1006), Nova Scotia, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Draft sample at brewery. Black with fluffy brown head and lace. Assertive chocolate covered espresso bean aroma. Surprisingly thin chocolate fig raisin fruitiness with bitter coffee finish. Body is missing. Lots of fruity malt. Not one of the better offerings from this great small brewery (IMHO).
