Commercial Description:
A Belgian style amber with ginger added. It is a malty and fruity beer with hints of ginger in the nose and in the flavor. Low in bitterness, dominated by the malt and flavors of the yeast.

On tap at the Gingerman, a amber-red hue with a bone color white head that had mild retention at first then faded away. Aroma of sweet bread and some earth malt notes. A mild ginger note was presnt. Flavor albeit light, it was well balanced and smooth. The bready notes gave way to a nice floral hop presence. Ginger was subtle in the end. A decent brew but nothing amzing.

on tap at the Ginger man in south Norwalk ct. Pour was dark copper and served in a pint glass. Very interesting beer, strong pine and Ginger notes- reminds me of south jersey. Tough to drink a lot of though

(draft) Crystal clear dark amber body, small beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, wood/earthy, some ginger, raisin. Taste is moderately sweet, earthy/wood, light raisin, peach, ginger. Light body, light stickiness.

On tap at Ginger Man. Pours a light brown/amber with a small white head. Aroma of light ginger and sweet malt. Flavor is heavily spiced with lots of ginger. I guess if you liked ginger or spiced beers you’ll probably enjoy this one but I wasn’t really a fan.

Tap at Ginger Man. aroma of caramel malt, ginger, pepper, maybe some other herbal spiciness. Flavor mingles the ginger with some sweet wild berries, toffee and cracker, and just a touch of citrus. Very good, better and better as it goes along.

Tap at Ginger Man. Pale golden beer with a lively spicy nose. Nice rich spiciness is apparent. There is a fairly subtle ginger character in the nose. A light spiciness that is well integrated with the yeasty spiciness. The ginger is initially quite subtle, but it picks up as the beer warms up, as does the light Belgian yeasty spiciness. There is a really nice crisp/crackery maltiness. A bit of hoppy spice/grassiness comes through on the back.

Tap at the Ginger Man. Somewhat cloudy, rust colored pour. Slight head laces well. Aroma has stale ginger, faded hops, a light Belgian yeast. Some anise and flowers. Pretty complex actually if you dig for it. Dirty ginger and tough yeast flavor, herbals, with a thick body but watery tasting finish. Perfect carbonation and easy drinking, though by the end of 20oz I was quite sick of it. I very likely will not be revisiting this.

Growler from Whole Foods: Pours a deep copper with an off white fading head. The aroma is inviting: nicely spiced, reminiscent of a quality pumpkin beer- has a mix of freshly baked pumpkin loaf, subtle vanilla, nutmeg, and toasted ginger. The flavor has a nice spice presence as well with a soft underlying sweet note to balance-Conjures up the experience of pumpkin loaf. Has underlying sweet Belgian malt which lead to a slightly toasted finish. Let this stuff warm; it’ll release it’s subtle and enjoyable spice presence. Mildly spiced, and it works.
