Maverick34 (484), New York, USA Sep 16, 2008 Draft. Poured a topazy gold. Some spice and other stuff, malt. Pretty drinkable I think. joebudzjoe (120), Connecticut, USA Aug 8, 2008 @ the brewery. This belgian ale tastes more is a bad-ass cousin of what i’ve usually tried from this style. Thick syrupy texture with banana undertones; spices present as well. BeerEmperor (2), , Connecticut, USA does not count Aug 2, 2008 This may be one of the worst I’ve ever tried. It smells like perfume, it tastes like perfume. I almost thought that it had gone bad, but the bartender and the manager assured me it was supposed to taste like this. I think I will pass. SuzyGreenberg (1067), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 31, 2008 draft @ kisco holiday inn - dark gold with slight haze and plenty of carbonation; aromas mainly of fruit and bananas; drinks watery with an off-putting bitterness; something seems a little off with this one acrdz (4475), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jul 27, 2008 Draft at CL. Clear, bright gold body with a soft white head. Nose of halfway eggy dough and candy sugar (semi-sour) and halfway corn, hay and dried crackers. Some strange notes of cleaner or bleach, but somewhat soft and I think a result of the yeast. Flavor shows more of this eggy yeast character, some dryness, some pastiness and some other odd flavors. A husky sour grain/mash flavor throughout, even some lactic wheat notes. Strange beer, not really enjoyed as much as expected.
