Commercial Description:
Don't let the golden color fool you - this isn't your father's lite beer! Brewed with imported German malts and US-grown hops, this beer is a full-flavored introduction to craft-brewed beer. We add the hops late in the boil, allowing you to enjoy the flavor and aroma of the hops without an aggressive bitterness. Sensory Profile: Aromas of orange, spice, and green grass. Clean malt-dominated flavor, with a subdued bitterness playing in the background of the aromas of this beer. Food Pairing: A great match with fish and chicken, both sautéed and grilled, especially with citrus and herbs preparations. Shellfish steamed in Liquid Gold is a match made in beer heaven.

from mesa gathering. poured from a growler pale gold with no head. sweet aroma of caramel, malt, and something vegetal...almost like a lager yeastiness. flavor is the same with a pleasant acidity, dried herb or yeasty spice dryness. the finish is clean with some lingering alcohol. medium bodied with very little carbonation.

[Brewtopia 07] Poured a hazy golden color with a small white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of coriander, cardamom, citrus fruits, orange peel, wild yeast? and light toast. Taste of more coriander, grains of paradise, lots of the fun Belgian spices, with some citrus, toffee, wheat, and light tartness in the finish.

Tap. Pours a golden color with a slight white head. Aroma is malt, hop, yeast, and slight banana/vanilla. Taste is the same, and the beer remains smooth throughout. A bit watery, but not bad.

Growler courtesy of scthaden from the other site. A beautiful pour w/ a small, white head w/ excellent lacing and retention. Reminiscent of Stella Artois, and that’s not good. Like Belgian Bud. Maybe the growler lost a little bit in the shipping process.

Growler filled at Whole Foods on Bowery. Aroma of champagne. Very fermented smelling. Appearance isn’t that great, really macro-pale lager like. Flavor is pretty decent, lots of malt in the finish. It’s okay alcohol and bitterness in the initial taste. Good full mouthfeel.

Tap @ Fette Sau. Poured a light clear gold with a white head. The aroma is yeasty and mildly fruity. Sweet malt underneath. The flavor is mildly sweet with some yeasty spice. Dry finish. Mild bitter finish.
