On tap at the brewery tasting room. Pours a clear amber which, yes, looks quite golden. Small amount of a soft white head which vanishes rather quickly. Spice on the nose, possibly coriander, and malt and a nice amount of yeast. Body is medium thick and a bit sweet. Finish is reminiscent of the nose, light and yeasty, with just a touch of balancing bitterness.

This belgian ale tastes more is a bad-ass cousin of what i’ve usually tried from this style. Thick syrupy texture with banana undertones; spices present as well. It smells like perfume, it tastes like perfume. I almost thought that it had gone bad, but the bartender and the manager assured me it was supposed to taste like this. I think I will pass. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Draft at CL. Clear, bright gold body with a soft white head. Nose of halfway eggy dough and candy sugar (semi-sour) and halfway corn, hay and dried crackers. Some strange notes of cleaner or bleach, but somewhat soft and I think a result of the yeast. Flavor shows more of this eggy yeast character, some dryness, some pastiness and some other odd flavors. A husky sour grain/mash flavor throughout, even some lactic wheat notes. Strange beer, not really enjoyed as much as expected. graham515 (435), Houston, Texas, USA

Aroma is citrusy and spicy like coriander. Taste is like witbier but with more hop bitterness and less spice. Seems like they wanted to make a beer like a witbier. I don’t understand why they didnt just make one. Pwn3d (1125), Manhattan, New York, USA
