Commercial Description:
Don't let the golden color fool you - this isn't your father's lite beer! Brewed with imported German malts and US-grown hops, this beer is a full-flavored introduction to craft-brewed beer. We add the hops late in the boil, allowing you to enjoy the flavor and aroma of the hops without an aggressive bitterness. Sensory Profile: Aromas of orange, spice, and green grass. Clean malt-dominated flavor, with a subdued bitterness playing in the background of the aromas of this beer. Food Pairing: A great match with fish and chicken, both sautéed and grilled, especially with citrus and herbs preparations. Shellfish steamed in Liquid Gold is a match made in beer heaven.

On tap at the brewery tasting room. Pours a clear amber which, yes, looks quite golden. Small amount of a soft white head which vanishes rather quickly. Spice on the nose, possibly coriander, and malt and a nice amount of yeast. Body is medium thick and a bit sweet. Finish is reminiscent of the nose, light and yeasty, with just a touch of balancing bitterness.

Draft. Poured a topazy gold. Some spice and other stuff, malt. Pretty drinkable I think.

@ the brewery. This belgian ale tastes more is a bad-ass cousin of what i’ve usually tried from this style. Thick syrupy texture with banana undertones; spices present as well.

This may be one of the worst I’ve ever tried. It smells like perfume, it tastes like perfume. I almost thought that it had gone bad, but the bartender and the manager assured me it was supposed to taste like this. I think I will pass.

draft @ kisco holiday inn - dark gold with slight haze and plenty of carbonation; aromas mainly of fruit and bananas; drinks watery with an off-putting bitterness; something seems a little off with this one

Draft at CL. Clear, bright gold body with a soft white head. Nose of halfway eggy dough and candy sugar (semi-sour) and halfway corn, hay and dried crackers. Some strange notes of cleaner or bleach, but somewhat soft and I think a result of the yeast. Flavor shows more of this eggy yeast character, some dryness, some pastiness and some other odd flavors. A husky sour grain/mash flavor throughout, even some lactic wheat notes. Strange beer, not really enjoyed as much as expected.

Pours a murky yellow into the glass with white head. Aroma is citrusy and spicy like coriander. Taste is like witbier but with more hop bitterness and less spice. Seems like they wanted to make a beer like a witbier. I don’t understand why they didnt just make one.

Draft at House of Brews. Very good. Pours slightly cloudy golden body. Aroma is like a lesser Fin du Monde. Taste is citrus, malt, and very smooth.
