Pwn3d (600), NYC, New York, USA Jun 23, 2008 Draft at House of Brews. Very good. Pours slightly cloudy golden body. Aroma is like a lesser Fin du Monde. Taste is citrus, malt, and very smooth.
joebudzjoe (103), Connecticut, USA Aug 8, 2008 @ the brewery. This belgian ale tastes more is a bad-ass cousin of what i’ve usually tried from this style. Thick syrupy texture with banana undertones; spices present as well. BeerEmperor (2), , Connecticut, USA does not count Aug 2, 2008 This may be one of the worst I’ve ever tried. It smells like perfume, it tastes like perfume. I almost thought that it had gone bad, but the bartender and the manager assured me it was supposed to taste like this. I think I will pass. SuzyGreenberg (934), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 31, 2008 draft @ kisco holiday inn - dark gold with slight haze and plenty of carbonation; aromas mainly of fruit and bananas; drinks watery with an off-putting bitterness; something seems a little off with this one acrdz (4297), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jul 27, 2008 Draft at CL. Clear, bright gold body with a soft white head. Nose of halfway eggy dough and candy sugar (semi-sour) and halfway corn, hay and dried crackers. Some strange notes of cleaner or bleach, but somewhat soft and I think a result of the yeast. Flavor shows more of this eggy yeast character, some dryness, some pastiness and some other odd flavors. A husky sour grain/mash flavor throughout, even some lactic wheat notes. Strange beer, not really enjoyed as much as expected. graham515 (294), Austin, Texas, USA Jul 22, 2008 Pours a murky yellow into the glass with white head. Aroma is citrusy and spicy like coriander. Taste is like witbier but with more hop bitterness and less spice. Seems like they wanted to make a beer like a witbier. I don’t understand why they didnt just make one.
