Pours cloudy orange with a thin white head. Smells of up front intense tartness, cherry pits, oaky. Tastes sour and funky with a dry oaky finish.

Bottle... Poured golden with a white head. Spunky yeast and sour funk on the nose. Dry and light with souring flavors and apple-like fruits. Tangy, vinegar, and a little bit of noticeable malts and fruity, ester yeast. Couldn’t really taste the cherries in this, but that’s ok.

Courtesy dchmela. Pours a downright cloudy, glowing, golden-orange color with a small, foamy, off-white head. Ultra-skinny lines of lacing circle the glass. The nose is really quite beautiful, showing notes of bretty funk, fragrant citrus peel, must, and apricot acidity. Hints of mild floral hops contribute to the earthiness that the brett imparts. Flavors follow suit, quite citric and tart, with apricot and sour orange leading the fruity charge. Light, summertime spices and citrus blossom hops compliment one another well. Brett is less prominent than it was on the nose, and the cherry in the commercial description is nowhere to be found, but it is still a mighty tasty brew. Medium bodied, semi-dry, and softly tart, the mouthfeel is spot on for the genre. Great beer.

Thanks for sharing this one, Mark. Pours pink-yellow with a white head that quickly recedes. Nose is light vinegar, light malt, sour cherries, and some oak notes. Flavor is similar with a very pleasant sour cherry finish. Awesome and very drinkable sour.

I was lucky enough to drink this two times in two days. Thanks to Puzzle for the first taste of this. Thanks! Pours dark orange/gold with a small head. Aroma of tart fruit and wood. Flavor is sour fruit, funk and some oak. Fairly dry and just a little thin. Captain Lawrence is doing some good things in the sour game...keep it up guys.

Courtesy dchmela. Pours a bright golden orange color with a small and foamy white that quickly dissipates. The aroma shows citric acidity, sour cherries, oak, and some bretty funk. Really nice aroma on this. The flavor follows suit with tart citrus and some sour cherries, but not prevalent like I would have thought. The bretty dries things out on the backend and adds that barnyard funk in there as well. Medium bodied, soft barbonation, and slightly tart on the finish. Not as sour as I was hopin, but still a tasty beer either way.

Thanks so much Trev. Pour is pretty calm, barely any head but a beautiful thick, glowing orange/golden color, can’t really see through it. Aroma is light candy sweet with lots of acetic sourness covering it all up. Oak-y leafiness in there as well. Taste losses the oak and the overarching acetic quality is much less. The candy sweetness works well with the acetic qualities and makes for a cool and slightly different type of sour beer. But otherwise, its not too original as far as the new American sour beers go. And cherries, what cherries?
375mL capped and waxed bottle, Selin’s Grove Anniversary goblet.
