Bottle. Pours golden with loosely-packed white head. Aroma is a bit muted with sour cherries, acetic acid, funk. Taste has some grape, sweet cherry, oak, and maybe a bit of acetone. Moderate on the palate and slightly sticky. Finishes oaky and slightly sour. I wasn’t very impressed by this, but hopefully Scott has some ideas for the future of this brew and I’ll be there to try it.

Nov 18, 2009 Bottle at Paul’s tasting for Kan’s visit. Golden pour. This cherry sour may have aged past its prime or just not good as CL’s newer sours. Cherry flavors with some unwelcomed tastes.

Nov 16, 2009 Bottle thanks to an american couple that shared them in the rake. Alround rating: Very bretty, almonds, morello cherry, almond stones, massivly yeasty. Its easy enough drinking for the %, but theres no red tinge even to show that cherries have been added which makes me a bit dubious.

Nov 8, 2009 375ml provided by Wetherel at Socal sour tasting at Stone last night. Pours golden wiht a bright white ring. Nose is tart sweet and funky. Taste is sweet fruity, with some cherries, unfortunately I noticed a very chalky taste and texture.

Nov 7, 2009 Bottle, huge thanks to j12601! Pours a clear orange with a small white head. Aroma of sour funk, light fruits (cherry I suppose). Flavor is a little minerally, some cheese, and sour funk. Some sweet tart cherries in the finish. It was ok, but overall I was a little disappointed.

Nov 7, 2009 Bottle. Aroma of cheese, mold, mildew, raspberry, young cantaloupe or some such melon, more cheese. Flavor I thought at first had some sour cherry, though the more I drink, the more I wonder why I thought that. There’s a decent level of acidity and some lemon drops but also some less appealing mineral character. Enjoyable.

Nov 4, 2009 Bronze hazed appearance. Apple, pineapple, and cherry aroma; lightly gravelly, pretty quiet altogether.
Tastes almost jammy with too much of an alcohol and sugar weightiness to it. Blackberries, honey, some floral touches, but almost all sweet in flavor with very light sourness.
Its the weight of it that wrecks it; the flavors are good but there is too much sugar and alcohol, so even with the bright effervescence of its feel its just kind of heavy and hollow. Finishes with a leathery tea flavor/texture. Thanks Ty!
