Flavor is smooth, fruity, with lots of bourbon. I’m not sure what an elderberry is, so I can’t tell you whether I’m tasting them or not. Overall, pretty cool to try, though I wasn’t blown away by it. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 18, 2009 Top notch stuff. Bourbon is very noticeable through out, but never overpowering and the 12% is hidden well. Definitely detect the elderberries, plus chocolate, rum, dark fruit. Nicely balanced and the perfect winter warmer I think. mcferc4 (56), New Jersey, USA
