Commercial Description:
One of the first beers I brewed after moving out to California to begin my brewing education was a Pale Ale. This version is a true testament to the influences the Wild West had on my early brewing. My Pale Ale is loaded with US-grown Cascade, Crystal, and Columbus hops, so be sure to take a good sniff to enjoy their robust aromas before taking your first sip. Sensory Profile: An aromatic beer with notes of citrus, pine, a noticeable bitterness, and a touch of malty backbone to help balance it out. Food Pairing: Foods with a spicy kick are a great match, as the bitterness of the hops will help to cool the palate before your next bite. Mexican food and pizza are natural matches.

English bitter meets American pale ale. Strong malt, well balanced hop profile...definitely not over-hopped, as many American pale ales can be. Really appreciate being able to pick out the hops and enjoy their aroma and taste, without getting whacked over the head with bitterness over and over again. Subtle butteryness, and a very faint licorice note....but can’t tell if that’s from the food or beer. I think it was from the beer. Very good pale ale!

On tap, brewery. This is a very well balanced pale ale, in my opinion. It is definitely flowery-hop centric, but balanced in palate and flavor as to make this excellently drinkable. Great session brew.

on tap but have had this many times before. poured a nice amber color with a thin off white head. aroma has light citrus hops, caramel malt, and some resinous bitterness. mouth feel is medium and the carbonation is full. flavor is quite rich for a pale ale. this reminds me of a toned down version of his iipa. nice citrus hops, plenty of sweetened caramel malt base, and just the right bitterness. nice drinking.

Growler at my buddy Joe’s house. Pours a light brown with a thin white head. Nice hoppy citrus aroma with a earthy grass hop balance. Nice crisp hop taste with a good malt balance. Nice light easy drinking pale ale.

On tap at the brewery tasting room. Pours a reddish coppery amber color with a medium tanned white head. Little bit of lacing. Yeast and malt on the nose with a hint of citrus hops. Slightly sweet maltiness comes out in the mouth, but the beer is still quite light, not weighed down in a syrupy mess. Body is medium with lots of tiny sharp bubbles. Light lifting finish with a nice crisp bitterness. Very refined balance going on here.
