Strong malt, well balanced hop profile...definitely not over-hopped, as many American pale ales can be. Really appreciate being able to pick out the hops and enjoy their aroma and taste, without getting whacked over the head with bitterness over and over again. Subtle butteryness, and a very faint licorice note....but can’t tell if that’s from the food or beer. I think it was from the beer. Very good pale ale! Maltajo (108), TARRYTOWN, New York, USA

It is definitely flowery-hop centric, but balanced in palate and flavor as to make this excellently drinkable. Great session brew. blklab2007 (964), Connecticut, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 29, 2008 On tap at the brewery tasting room. Pours a reddish coppery amber color with a medium tanned white head. Little bit of lacing. Yeast and malt on the nose with a hint of citrus hops. Slightly sweet maltiness comes out in the mouth, but the beer is still quite light, not weighed down in a syrupy mess. Body is medium with lots of tiny sharp bubbles. Light lifting finish with a nice crisp bitterness. Very refined balance going on here. SilkTork (4173), Rochester, Kent, England
