Commercial Description:
One of the first beers I brewed after moving out to California to begin my brewing education was a Pale Ale. This version is a true testament to the influences the Wild West had on my early brewing. My Pale Ale is loaded with US-grown Cascade, Crystal, and Columbus hops, so be sure to take a good sniff to enjoy their robust aromas before taking your first sip. Sensory Profile: An aromatic beer with notes of citrus, pine, a noticeable bitterness, and a touch of malty backbone to help balance it out. Food Pairing: Foods with a spicy kick are a great match, as the bitterness of the hops will help to cool the palate before your next bite. Mexican food and pizza are natural matches.

On tap at Rattle ’n’ Hum, NYC. FRuity beer, flowery hoppy finish. Not terribly sophisticated, but very drinkable. Piney lingering aftertaste.

On tap. Piney aroma and flavor, with echoes of honey. Dry, peppy hops. Well bittered with a nice tingle. Nice.

Draught form Whole Foods - Bowery, NYC (great place!!!). Nice pleasant aroma of floral hops, and sweet caramel malts. Attarctive color of amber/red, thin white head. The flavor is citrus/grapefruit hoppy, sweet caramel from the malts. The finish is a clean, pleasant citrus hop flavor. Excellent beer all around.

Growler shared by swolf3... Golden red in color, decent head. Aroma of malt. Taste is sweet malt, minor amount of hops. Very easy to drink. Low carbonation. Average texture.. For an American Pale Ale it is pretty good. Thanks wolf.

Draught from Whole Foods in NYC Nice copper color and fresh hop aroma. Not to overpowering. Great flavor with well balanced bitterness. Just right for an American PA. Very quaffable.

Draught at Beer Table, Brooklyn. Pours a light copper, with a creamy off white head, and lacing all the way down the glass. Nose is a bit of biscuit, and crisp, resiny hops with a bit of citrus. Taste is sweet caramel and biscuit malt up front, with a clean citrus note emerging early, with resiny pine hops emerging to dominate closer to the finish, providing a firm, slightly dry, lingering bitterness on the palate. Medium body with moderate carbonation, another pale that blurs the line between a pale ale and an IPA.

Draft from Gutter in Brooklyn. Amber/copper pour with rather small white head. Admittedly, it was too late in the evening for such a hoppy beer; in other words, I was half in the bag at this point and not really enjoying the distinct notes of the beer. But it was quite good. Thought this was about as hoppy as a pale ale gets before cruising into IPA territory. Loads of citrus and pine, but with enough malt to back it up. Tasty.
