| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 14, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Smells like a grassy meadow with shrubbery. Somehow I missed all the citrus. The rest of the hop presence just seemed bitter to me. After the first few sips (which did seem pretty divine), this bitterness also became a little rough around the edges when blended with the malt. Whether there was too much bitterness, not enough smooth maltiness, I’m not sure, just seemed a tad short of that perfectly quaffable pale ale. I’m of course splitting hairs to an extent here with my 3.6; a very good beer. Gr0ve (1412), Oslo, Norway

Clear nutty brown color, small white head, lace. Nutty, hoppy aroma. Also flavor is quite similar: aromatic and nutty hops dominate the flavor. Starts a bit watery, then through pale malts it goes to hoppy finish. A ok. BakerStMuse (19), USA
