| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2008 Tap at Blind Tiger. Clear pale amber beer with a thin white head. Aroma is of soft allspice, clove and a touch of munich malt aroma. Flavour is a bit thin, with light pale malt, a kiss of crystal and even some crackey maris otter maltiness. Fairly understated spiciness but with a light spicy hoppiness and a soft dryness. Slightly herbal... it’s okay, but fairly understated. Quite British tasting. Simple but nice. In aroma, a nice pumpkin spice with sweet caramel malt. In mouth, a nice crisp malt with smooth pumpkin spices notes, not cloying, a bit oily, quaffable. Amber body with a white head. Thin body with pumpkin notes and cinnamon spice as well as some sage and pumpernickel. Nice spice profile but a bit thin some vanilla and chi would really bring this to another level. 3.5 Dickinsonbeer (3502), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 7, 2009 Growler at Hophead75 I think. Pours an ok pale copper with a thin lasting white head. Aroma is a bit subdued- light pumpkin and pumpkin spice, cinnamon , nutmeg, with a yeasty clove and phenolic thing going on. Flavor is a bit toasty, slightly watered down a bit though- light sweetness, hints of vanilla, and brown sugar with more pumpkin pie spice and clove. A bit on the weak side for what I would like, but still easy drinking and well made. notalush (2691), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 20, 2008 Tap at Barcade - a very straightforward pumpkin ale, albeit a little boring - aroma of sticky caramel, vegetal/squash-like character, and faint spices - a little dry - kind of thin on the palate - light pumpkin flavor, with nutmeg and cinnamon on top, taking most of the palate’s attention - lingering spiciness - meh - there are many better pumpkin ales out there. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 2, 2008 Tap at Blind Tiger: Copper/amber pour with a fading head. The aroma has some toasted malt, a sweet notes of canned pumpkin pie- mild on the spices with light ginger, moderate nutmeg and a cinnamon touch. Light to a light/medium body. The flavor has some sweet noets, reminiscent of pumpkin- more like vanilla and apricot cake with spice notes. Has a mild spice presence of clove and nutmeg into the toasted finish. Pretty vague and restrained. Sadly, I expected more.
