Jun 25, 2008 (Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of BrianK. Pours a cloudy opaque dark brown with an orange glow, and a dense, creamy light brown head. Somewhat boozy rum aroma. Medium body, lightly fruity burned malt. Lightly boozy rum notes with a dry finish. A good beer but not nearly as complex as the wine barrel version. 250608

Dark brown coloured with a medium sized beige head.
Fruity and light roasted aroma with notes of dried fruits and wood with notes of liquorice and rum.
Light roasted flavour of fruits, dried fruits, wood and liquorice with notes of rum.
Finish of wood..

Jun 24, 2008 An old rating i finally got to entering. Aroma was of hops and a very nice alcohol flavor to it. Flavor was very desert like but not as hoppy as the aroma.

Jun 19, 2008 sampled with the phoenix crew. provided by ’the one and only’ bockyhorsey... nice brown color with red tints and a tan head. lots of clumpy yeast. aroma of sugar cane (rum) and it’s sweetness, wood barrel, smoke and malt. the flavor is really rum-like but not hot or sweet... fruity, cane and smoky astringency before a very mildly sour finish. this is the most well balanced of the three...

Jun 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown body with a light brown head. The smoke and the rum character soak up together to create an awesome marriage of smoked rum. The abv remaining low is my only complaint but thats okay because i really enjoyed the woody rum character.

Jun 4, 2008 Sampled at Hellbilly’s Hellraiser II. Aroma was of rum and wood. Dark body. Sweet sugar rum flavor and you got the flavor of the wooden barrel in the mix.

Jun 3, 2008 Many thanks to stine for sharing. A dark brown almost black color with thin head. Smoked malts and sweet rum/molasses aroma. A nice oaky character in the body bur rum dominated this for me.
