| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 8, 2007 From a fresh growler purchased at Captain Lawrence. Pours yellow and hazy with a white head. Smells of citrus and has a dry peppery bite to it. Taste is peppery and dry, but doesn’t possess the qualities I like in a witbier. Decent, but not enough of a departure from the liquid gold. yobdoog (1502), Woodridge NY, New York, USA

Sweet wheat aroma and some citrus fruits. Taste seem to be the same as aroma. Nice wheat with mild sweet light malt and fruit with a little hop but not too bitter. Had the first batch and this one turned out much better IMO. 1st batch had some lingering bitterness but now is way more balanced and smooth with the fruit aspects I wanted. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 23, 2007 Tap @ Capt. Lawrence. Poured a hazy light yellow color with a large white head. The aroma was of wheaty lemon, clove, banana, and orange pulp. Nice complexity. Mildly wheaty flavor. The finish was mildly dry and lightly bitter withsome clove notes. Hint of bubble gum on the burp. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 19, 2007 Draft at BT. Yellow, in fact it looks like Castelton. The flavor has a nice yeastiness going on along with a white pepper. Nice orange peel on the palate and the body is medium. The flavors don’t meld all that well though. I get some vanilla that seems out of place. Not refreshing enough for my liking. JAF737300 (797), Tampa, Florida, USA

The notes of spicey wheat are on the palate. The finish shows more of the whaet domiance and the citrus fruit. Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 18, 2007 Champagne color and clear for the most part. Aroma of soda crackers, pepper, and orange skin. Coriander powers through. A late burst of pineapple juice. Cracked wheat and cloves on the tongue. Fairly forward lemon and sauvignon blanc tartness. Dry and vague spice character finishes with a brisk once-over through the mouth. Light to medium palate with decent dynamics throughout. No flaws. Pleasant. Thanks Andrew! hophead75 (1964), Boonton, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is a good start with musty yeast, wheat, and light notes of spices and fruit. Taste follows aroma with some crackery wheat, coriander and orange, and musty yeast. Second batch much more pleasant than the first.
