Commercial Description:
This beer is an American adaptation to the classic Belgian style of beer known as a Tripel. Historically Tripels were brewed to have a very light golden color, a moderate hop presence, and be around 9% alcohol. But we are not in Belgium, so I decided to crank up the hops, dry hop the beer with American Amarillo hops, and brew it to 10% ABV. This is our American Tripel, enjoy. Sensory Profile: Enjoy in a goblet or wine glass. Tropical fruit and honey are the two biggest aromas coming from this lively brew. While the hop bitterness is not as powerful as an IPA, the hop flavor melds nicely with the fruity flavors created by the imported Belgian yeast strain used. Food Pairing: This beer goes great with roasted vegetables, fish and rotisserie chicken. And it can be used as a aperitif before dinner with shrimp cocktail.

As far as I remember the 1st release had less hops than this version. 2006 bottle. After a year still retains some hop balance. Nice bubbles but not overly carbonated. Beautiful unfiltered deep golden color. Aroma of sweet belgian sugar and malt. Hops have mellowed since release but has aged well so far. Delicous brew.

25.4 oz bottle. Clear gold, half white head with a careful pour. Thick lace. Yeast, lemon, pineapple and sugar cookies. Fizzy-foamy lemon chiffon pie. Alcohol creeps in a bit before a dry, sour apricot finish. Lingering citrus oil.

The color was interesting. In flourescent light, the beer appeared to be light green/yellow. In sunlight, it appeared to be golden/orange. The head was fizzy, and off-white. The aroma was lemon zest, citris, floral, very hoppy. The flavor was intense. It was extremely strong citris, lemon zest, a little tartness, and a lot of dry hops. The palate was crisp and lively. The finish was very clean and warm. This is a most excellent beer.

Pours a hazy amber. Thick frothy sticky white head. Smells very floral, man oh man alive, what a wonderful nose. Citrus, pink grapefruit STRONG, sweet, very floral citrusy hops. Very dry, strong alcohol burn, grapefruit, citrus, all hop flavor, not as much waxy bitterness as I expected. Wondeful wonderful. Crisp warm dry carbonated palate.

Bottle in trade. Hummm. Cloudy and a light golden color. Immensely carbonated, so much so that I had time to grow a full beard before the head dissapated enough for me to not be suffocated by the foam as I raised the glass to my mouth. Man, I think this was kind of a mangled mess of sorts. if you asked me" what do ya’ smell?" I mind say: I have no idea. Taste is very alcohol-y

Bottle. Clear golden color with a huge head. Fair retention, spare lacing. Aroma is yeast and undetermined fruit; maybe citrus and pineapple come close to start. Grapefruit come through in the taste, as does so much other fruit, some sweet malt and a bit of yeast. Bitter finish. A touch warm. Very fine tripel.

Thanks to SecretSanta. Golden orange pour with a huge white head. Aromai s belgian spice, sugar and very phenolic yeast. Flavor is dominated by the spicy yeast with candi sugar, lemon, orange, coriander and a ton of wheat. Very spicy and phenolic with the yeast dominating this beer.
